PHYSIO IN CARLINGFORD

Knee Injury Physiotherapy

Whether your knee pain started after a sporting injury, a twist, training overload or has gradually developed over time, X10 Physio can assess your knee, guide your rehab and help support a safe return to movement.  Based in Carlingford, we serve clients in Ryde, Epping, Chatswood, Eastwood, Denistone and surrounding areas.

Knee pain when walking, running or climbing stairs?

If you’re experiencing knee pain when walking, running, squatting, climbing stairs, jumping, changing direction or sitting for long periods, physiotherapy can help. You may also notice swelling, stiffness, clicking, catching, weakness or a feeling that your knee may give way.

Common knee injuries we treat:

  • ACL, MCL, LCL and PCL injuries: Ligament injuries can occur during sport, twisting movements, contact injuries or sudden changes in direction. Physiotherapy can support early recovery, strength rebuilding, stability, return-to-sport planning and post-surgery rehabilitation where required.

  • Patellar tendinopathy: Patellar tendinopathy often causes pain at the front of the knee, especially with jumping, running, stairs or squats. Rehab usually focuses on load management and progressive strengthening to improve tendon capacity.

  • Patellofemoral pain: Patellofemoral pain is a common cause of pain around or behind the kneecap. It may be aggravated by stairs, squats, running or sitting for long periods. Physio can help address strength, movement patterns, mobility and training load.

  • Meniscus injuries: Meniscus injuries can cause pain, catching, swelling or discomfort with twisting and deep knee bending. Treatment depends on the severity, but physio often focuses on restoring movement, strength and function.

  • Knee arthritis: Knee arthritis can cause stiffness, swelling, pain and reduced confidence with movement. Physiotherapy can help manage symptoms, improve strength, support mobility and keep you active.

How X10 Physio can help with your Knee Pain

At x10 physio, we use a 3-step process to treat knee pain. I believe recovery is more than just getting rid of pain — it’s about helping you move, perform, and live at your best. Whether you’re an athlete, a busy professional, or simply tired of recurring injuries, I’ll guide you through a proven process that gets you back to doing what you love — stronger than before.

01.

Listen & Identify

We start with your story.

All you need to do is rest and do less exercise – COULD be the right answer for you. Sadly, it just often isn’t. At x10 Physio, the first step to your rehab is  understanding your story... and where you want to be. Your knee may be sore but maybe you’re an athlete with a competition coming up, which means we manage your symptoms while you play. Or, maybe you’re just a recreational golfer like our head physio Eugene and you were overzealous, so rest is more important. Either way, we don’t start anything until we know you.

UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN.
CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT.
PREVENT RE-INJURY.

02.

Assess & Explain

Find the root cause — fast.

Now we use our ‘physio skills' to find out what could be going on at your knee. We combine what we find, along with your story to create a picture of what might have happened. Then, we will make sure you understand exactly what happened, and how you’re going to get better. Don’t worry, we won’t use ‘doctor language’. We keep it simple, so you can have ease of mind.

CLARITY BUILDS CONFIDENCE
— AND CONFIDENCE ACCELERATES RECOVERY.

Treat & Rebuild

03.

Recover. Strengthen. Future-proof.

Knee treatment and rebuilding differs for every case, however most knees follow a predictable pattern of pain and swelling management and gentle exercise followed by specific strengthening and movement drills to get you back to your goals. The difference at x10 physio is our commitment to your personal goals. We understand if you’re just like to return to everyday walking without issues – not everyone wants to run marathons. Or, if you want to run 100kms in the Blue Mountains, we want to help you get there too. After you reach your desired goals, you will be officially discharged from X10 physio (and we hope to see you again if you need us in the future!).

MOVE PAIN-FREE. STAY STRONG.
NEVER LOOK BACK.

This is the X10 Physio Approach  Recover fully. Move freely. Live confidently.
